This is a template to generate links to Anime News Network. This template should be used exclusively for ANIME titles, that is, movies, OVAs, and tv series.
If you need to link a manga, use {{ann manga}} instead. For a person (actor, actress, etc.), use {{ann name}}. For a company (production, broadcast, etc.), use {{ann|company}}.
Instructions
- Go to animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia and search for the title you want
- Click on the correct link to go to the anime's page (or whatever you're looking for). Be sure you're getting on the correct title page.
- The page URL should look like http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=###, where "###" indicates a number.
- Add to the external links section the text:
- {{ann anime|id=###|title=Title}}
- where "###" is the number you've copied, and "Title" is the title of the anime.
Example
- Searching for "Castle in the Sky", you'll get to this page: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=481
- Copy "481" and then write:
- {{ann anime|id=481|title=Castle in the Sky}}
The result is Castle in the Sky (anime) at Anime News Network's Encyclopedia
Note that, since this will almost certainly go on the external link section, you should add a * before the template text to include it as a list item.
