"Again" is Japanese pop rock singer-songwriter Yui's thirteenth single. "Again" was released on June 3, 2009 by her label Studioseven Recordings and was released in two formats: CD and CD+DVD. "Again" was used as the opening theme song for the 2009 anime series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for episodes 1-14. "Again" is Yui's first single since she went on hiatus in November 2008. The single debuted atop the Oricon Weekly Single Chart becoming her fourth number-one single. The single currently has the highest opening week sales for a female act in 2009.
Overview
On March 25, 2009, Yui announced on her official website that she was ending her hiatus and returning to the music scene. On her website she also announced that she had worked on a new single "Again".[1] It was later revealed that "Again" was going to be used as the opening theme song for the anime series Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.[1] "Again" currently holds the title for having the highest debut sales for a female act in 2009, selling over 110,000 copies. Pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki's "Rule/Sparkle" previously held the title for selling 95,000 copies in its first week.[2]

Chart performance
"Again" debuted at number-one on the Oricon weekly chart selling a little over 110,600 copies thus becoming the artists fourth number-one single.[2] Prior to the release of the single, the A-side, "Again", chart on the Japan Hot 100 Singles chart on the issue date of April 18, 2009 at number 100.[3] On the issue date of June 13, 2009, "Again" jumped from number 41 to the top of the chart.[4]
In Taiwan, "Again" debuted at number two on the J-Pop charts, bring in 5.46% of sells on the chart.[5]
