Yellow tagged CDs are singles or albums with a yellow sticker attached to them. They can only be purchased on auction websites such as e-bay. It is hard to tell the difference between a yellow tagged and an official copy, because they are almost the same.
There are only two noticeable differences:

  • The yellow/greenish sticker attached on the back or on the obi. The sticker has an unique serial code.
  • A printing on the CD's transparent center with the text "SAMPLE LOANED"

It is believed that they are made for promotion purposes only. To be distributed on radio stations and TV shows as prizes.
